Although the province of Newfoundland & Labrador is full of very talented players, there had yet to be an event that fully acknowledged them. We at Elevate have taken it upon ourselves to create such an event.

 

We began by reaching out to as many high school basketball players as we could get a hold of. We asked each of them to vote for who they thought were this season's best players. We accumulated over 700 votes and based on these votes, we were able to identify the top boys and girls players. We then divided those players into teams of 8 (two girls teams and two boys teams) and on May 11th at Holy Heart of Mary High School, we hosted the 1st Annual Elevate All Star Weekend. This event consisted of:

 

- Girls All Star Game

- Rock Elite 3 Point Shootout

- Boys All Star Game
 

We are absolutely thrilled at the amount of support the event received and are already excited about doing it all again in 2020. This was a rare opportunity to have all of the province's top players on the floor competing with one another and those in attendance were treated to some absolutely thrilling basketball.

 

Game footage was sent to university coaches in an effort to get the players recruited to play university basketball.
