The CEO's Journal- Entry 14: The Grind Continues

March 18, 2019

Today I finished my 4th book of this month! I’m honestly surprising myself at this point. My goal was only to finish 12 this year but at this rate it’s not even going to take me half of the time. I’m just absorbing knowledge and I’m really proud of how much I’ve been able to learn up until now. 2019 has been an awesome year so far. Today I also had a great meeting with a local gym owner. We discussed a few ideas and I’m pretty excited to see how we can work together moving forward. I love connecting and working with other ambitious, like-minded individuals.

Got to workout for the first time in about a week tonight. Although the vast majority of my focus is on Elevate, I recognize the importance of being healthy and also setting fitness goals. My Squat, Deadlift and Bench maxes are currently 325, 455 and 245. I’ve been stuck at those numbers for a few weeks now and my goal is to get each of those numbers up atleast 10 pounds by the end of the month. Think I can do it?

I’ve started implementing Jake’s IG story plan and so far so good. It feels great to be able to not have to worry about handling the planning for that and I’m thankful to have such an organized and charismatic person taking over that responsibility for me. Thanks Jake!

But as much as I’ve been talking about all of the great things that have been going my way lately, I’ve also been facing some challenges. I am planning a HUGE all-star event for May where we want to take the top male and female high school basketball players and have them step onto the court together to compete in what should be a fun and exciting pair of games. I want to make this event as amazing as possible but that of course requires money.

I have fully committed myself to figuring this project out because the athletes in this province deserve it. The best of the best deserve to be recognized and the community deserves to have an event that showcases their talent. I’m excited for the event but also nervous about how we’re going to adequately fund it. It’s kind of similar to how I felt about our first pop up shop: Terrified that no one will show up. But that first pop up show ended up being outstanding and I don’t see any reason why people wouldn’t want to come out to this province’s first high school all star game.

I’ll keep you in the loop about how the planning for this goes but for now, circle the date May 11th on your calendars. March 20, 2019

So remember how proud of myself I was back in January for thinking of that preorder system with the limited edition tracksuits? Yeah it hasn’t gone exactly according to plan. The tracksuits STILL aren’t here which is pretty frustrating. I sincerely apologize to everyone who is still waiting for their tracksuits. I promise you they will get here asap.

As disappointing as this situation is though, it has taught me something. It has shown me that I need more than one manufacturer. Demand is at a point where my current manufacturer (as talented as he is) can’t keep up. So with that said, I have found an additional manufacturer and am looking into a few others as well. This should help to speed up production so that we can keep up with the growing demand. This new manufacturer can also make some absolutely beautiful and high quality windbreakers that we’re working on now. They’re gonna be SICK!

Thank you for reading! Feel free to give me a follow on IG @DedicatedAustin as well!

Peace! Austin Chambers, Founder & CEO.
